Board Meeting Bowling Green KY. May 10, 2014

Saturday May 10th the KyAEA Board met at Greenwood High School for the Spring meeting. We began the day with an art making activity 'Playing with Clay" Some chose to weave their clay while others made a tile. Everyone enjoyed using the new extruder! We enjoyed some of Bowling Greens finest cuisine: Yuki Japanese Restaurant, Cambridge Market's famous cheese ring and those wonderful tea cookies and coffee cake from Riley's Bakery. Some of the topics of discussion for the board meeting included; Program Review, Career Pathways for the Arts, Arts Education Committees and our participation, The upcoming Fall Conference in Puducah - Miles gave a great report and then Roy had an inspiring video and powerpoint showing off our meeting place at Murry State's campus. We also discussed the recent All-State show sponsored by KyAEA and it's huge success. We welcomed Susan Lackey to the board as she would like to represent our retired members and Leslyn Rushing who will be unofficially our Elementary Representative. We also listened while each representative made reports about their region or division. Our organization is growing in membership. This is an exciting time to be a member of KyAEA!!
