"Swing on a Star" KyAEA Fall Conference 2012

What a wonderful conference! Some of the highlights: Over 50 presenters presented on all sorts of art education subjects from Chihuly to clay to Elements and Principles. Keynote speakers; Robert Duncan from KDE and Debi West who inspired us to swing on a star for our students. The Gala featured wonderful food, a fun photo booth and many awards for all of our wonderful teachers! We ended with a huge give away from items donated by the many wonderful vendors such as Crayola, Blick, Preston Arts, Usborne Books and Core Clay.

Setting up the Silent Auction. The Regional Baskets were a huge hit this year! The Auction raises money for the Perkins Grant that KyAEA offers each year to undergraduate and graduate students. This year we raised $1102.75! The Artisans also donated items that helped so much to bring in the $ and of course do not forget...Miles and his van load of miscelleneous items from the giant pillsbury dough boy to many tiny toys:)
