KCAE Meeting today in Lexington
The Kentucky Coalition for Arts Education met today in Lexington. KyAEA was represented by Kimberly Newton, Amy Rucci, and Kim Soule. Other representatives were present representing KMEA, Dance and Theatre. Phil Shepherd facilitates the discussion. This group worked on the possibilities of creating an awards system for program recognitions of arts programs. We heard updates on the Program Review Process from Robert Duncan and those of the committee offered feedback regarding the process at their own schools. We brainstormed ideas for assessing through the Program Review in a process that would be less time consuming to schools, administrators and districts. The meeting was held at the Tate's Creek Library in Lexington and it lasted 3 hours.
KyAEA Representatives!
